Being pregnant is the most exciting - and anxious - time of your life. Massage nurtures and pampers you at a time when your body needs it most. It’s a wonderful way to relax and increase your energy level.

prenatal massage:
     - eases neck, back and joint pain
     - relieves muscle spasms and leg cramps
     - relieves carpal-tunnel syndrome, headaches, heartburn, fatigue, nasal congestion, hemorrhoids, sciatica 
       and shortness of breath

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING MASSAGE
The best time to start receiving massage is after the first trimester, when the greatest hormonal and physical changes have taken place and morning sickness is abating. Women typically choose to receive bodywork every other week or once a month.

Each session is tailored to your needs as your body changes through each trimester of pregnancy. You’re placed in a semi-reclining or side-lying position with your body fully supported by pillows so you – and your baby – are safe and comfortable. A combination of Swedish and Shiatsu massage is used to reduce stress and muscle tension.

Women with high-risk pregnancies may be required to provide a medical release from their physician.

 

                                

POSTPARTUM MASSAGE
Life changes after your baby arrives. It’s important that you continue to take care of yourself so you can tend to the needs of your child. Post-pregnancy massage is designed to help restore your body to its pre-pregnancy condition.

PREGNANCY-SAFE AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy is another way to help moms-to-be reduce stress. We use pregnancy-safe essential oils such as mint, lavender and chamomile to enhance your massage experience.

Our aromatherapy foot treatment relieves tired, achy feet. We use a sugar/salt scrub to gently exfoliate the skin followed by warm compresses and a relaxing foot massage.
 




                                                                

DON’T FORGET ABOUT DAD
Pregnancy is an exciting time for dads too. But often, they’re unsure how to help you be more comfortable. We can help! We’ll show dads-to-be simple massage techniques that will calm your nerves and reduce muscle tension at home and during the early stages of labor.

Dad can also benefit from massage after the baby arrives. We’ll help address stress and muscle tension that comes from feedings and carrying the baby - and baby gear - to and from the car.
